Make a difference: contribute!

A mother's birthday. A son's graduation. Your anniversary.

Imagine giving a gift that celebrated not just an important date, but a love for reading. Now imagine that gift multiplying, and becoming not just a gift for the person you love, but for your entire community.

That's what you get when you donate to your library.

Did you know?

Your donations make more than just books possible: you make a community possible. The generosity of people like you means that inner-city kids have a safe place to read, to study, to research. You give book clubs a place to meet. You give public internet access to those without computers. You give story times for young children, and year-round screenings of family-friendly movies. You give summer reading programs and outreach programs for seniors in nursing homes.

You don't have to be rich. Every donation—big and small—makes a difference. Need ideas? Here are some of the ways you can help. Best of all, if you have a major credit card, you can donate from the computer you're sitting at right now!
